Works well and easy to use

This is a well made machine. It is simple to set up, but requires a sturdy surface to secure it to. I set it up on my workshop table and used the provided screws to secure it to the table. Sheers are also provided with the nut cracker. I had looked at buying this product earlier, but wasn't sure until Feral Foraging referred it. I am happy not only with the walnut cracker, but also happy to support this small business. They ovbiously care about the quality of their product. The black walnuts I recently cracked were delicious.

Best damn walnut cracker for cracking black walnuts

I recently dehulled a 5 gallon bucket full of black walnuts that I had collected from the black walnut tree that I have in my backyard form late July to Late September. I used this walnut cracker on a Friday night, which was 5 days after dehulling them on a Sunday afternoon, so I could bake some banana bread. I cracked enough walnuts to get one cup of black walnuts to bake a loaf of banana bread. It was delicious and this walnut cracker was fast and efficient at cracking black walnuts. I wouldn't recommend anything else for cracking black walnuts other than this product. It really gets the job done! Thanks grandpa's goody getter for manufacturing such a great product!

Bigger Nut Pieces

I get much larger nut pieces with this cracker than I did with my old C.E. Potter cracker. It’s easier to load and unload, and pieces of shell don’t go flying everywhere like shrapnel. I was glad to support Dennis and what I am sure is years of experience finding the best way to crack black walnuts. Proudly made in the USA!

Precision Pressure

Boy does this ever give me the control. My first 2 Black Walnut cracking (that I have ever done) I got 4 quarters out of each of them. I didn't expect that!!!!!! Got to get back to work harvesting and drying............ Am fully satisfied, thanks....... M L

This is the real deal

Living on a farm full of black walnut hickory and pecans, this caught my eye. I easily ordered directly from the company. It exceeded my expectations by being able to consistently remove quarters and halves and even a few whole nuts from the black walnut shell! Unexpected surprise: this tool is so enjoyable that it relaxes and had a calming effect that is contagious. My neighbor after observing it in use immediately bought one. My busy family makes time to sit and shell and as a result spend memorable moments together. I keep it greased like the instructions say to do and have gotten 30 cups in 8 days of spare time shelling. LOVE IT!

I have not used mine yet. I borrowed one from a friend last year. It worked great so I bought me one. Between a drought year and squirrels I don’t have any this year. So mine is still in box. I highly recommend it.
